This Festive Bikini – The Method
WThis is a home-style interpretation of a drink featured on a new cocktail list. This is a batch pre-mixed that's bursting with the essence of a holiday season, rendering it perfect for your holiday party. Any leftover cordial you can use for brunch beverages, sweets, or for more rounds of this cocktail.
Bikini
Makes enough for 10 guests
To make the Clementine Cordial (produces 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g fine sugar
For the Cocktail (makes 850ml, serving 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine syrup (see above)
A few cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Instructions
To prepare the Syrup: Put the listed ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a simmer, agitating to dissolve. After that, turn off the heat and leave to reach room temperature entirely. Pour into a sterilised bottle, seal keeping it chilled, it can be stored for up to one month.
To make Premix: Mix all the spirits and syrup in a big jug, let it rest for 60 minutes, then strain , ideally through a fine cloth, to ensure it's perfectly clear.
When ready to serve: Pour 85ml of the batch mix into your mixing glass filled with ice, gently stirring carefully for one minute until cold. Pour into an cold coupe glass or equivalent, garnish with the cranberries and complete it using a brief mist of the essential oil over the top.
